TotalEnergies wins a maritime concession to develop a wind farm in the United States

(AOF) – TotalEnergies has been named the winner by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management of the maritime concession OCS-A 0545 in the United States, following the North Carolina auction. This call for tenders for the development of an offshore wind farm in Carolina Long Bay was won by TotalEnergies for an amount of 160 million dollars.

Located at a maximum distance of 37 kilometers from the coast, this concession extends over an area of ​​222 square kilometers, making it possible to develop a production capacity of more than 1 GW, enough to supply electricity to more than 300,000 American homes. The project aims to be commissioned by 2030.
