SpaceX breaks a new record, Elon Musk reacts

News hardware SpaceX breaks a new record, Elon Musk reacts

Elon Musk’s space company is on the rise, to say the least! And to accompany this beautiful month of July, the boss of SpaceX reacts to the historic record for the number of launches in one year. No less than 32 launches, and we are only in July, the record could be even higher by the end of 2022.

SpaceX is flying to new horizons, and Elon Musk’s company can thank the Starlink project that has allowed them to reach new heights.

Indeed, in 2021, SpaceX had already broken its own record with 31 launches, but obviously Elon Musk does not want to stop there since the record was shattered in just 7 months.

Of course, if SpaceX can afford such a record, it is thanks to the Starlink project which obliges the firm to frequently launch new satellites. The final project is to create global internet access with very low latency and always available since it is always above our heads.

The advantage of SpaceX vis-à-vis this project is that they can act when they want since SpaceX is its own client. No need to communicate with third-party companies to be able to launch a new satellite.

At the moment, 46 Starlink satellites are above us. The world map where Starlink subscription is available can be found on the project’s official website. In our French regions, Starlink is already available. Elon Musk is not going to stop there and wants to deploy his service throughout Africa and South America by the end of 2023.

Elon Musk reacts to this historic record

After congratulating his engineers for the feat of making perfect Falcon 9 rocket landings, Elon Musk reacted proudly for this record number of launches.

It was on Twitter, the billionaire’s favorite social network, that he reacted and retweeted the publication of the official SpaceX account.

Sober congratulations that could well mean that Elon would like to push the record even further. Indeed, SpaceX plans to deploy 53 satellites in orbit by the end of 2022.

On top of that, other projects besides Starlink will keep SpaceX teams busy. For example, the company’s recent partnership with NASA which allowed them to test capsules called “Dragon”, which aims to transport a large number of people and goods in space, to the ISS. (International Space Station).

Launch cadence is increasing sharply for SpaceX to match Elon Musk’s wild ambitions. The billionaire still has in mind a Martian exploration by 2030.

The Starlink project is an example of the power that Elon Musk has over the space world, and obviously, we are not far from what the company could achieve in a few years.

Congratulations to the SpaceX teams who broke the record for the number of launches!
