The popular Shibburn platform, which tracks SHIB burns, has reported that another large batch of Shiba Inu meme coins has been removed from useless wallets by various individuals and companies.
Over the past 24 hours, SHIB’s burn rate has increased nearly 700% from the previous day.
SHIB burn rate increased by 642%.
Since this morning, the Shiba Inu meme depletion rate has increased by more than 642%, according to the Shibburn tracker website.
With 28,191,662 SHIBs burned in total, a massive amount of 24,091,662 SHIBs were moved to a dead-end wallet in a single transfer. However, the equivalent of the total amount burned is just over $233.
The number of SHIB holders continues to grow
According to updated data on the website of WhaleStats, the popular tracking tool for large wallets, the number of SHIB holders has increased by more than a thousand in the last 24 hours.
Now that number stands at 1,271,030 versus about 1,270,000 on Friday.
Data from WhaleStats also shows that in the last 24 hours the Shiba Inu meme coin dropped out of the top ten list of assets held by Ethereum whales. The top five assets held by the top 100 wallets on Ethereum are currently ETH, DAI, LINK, aWETH and CHAIN.
LINK, Chainlink’s original token, has not been seen in the top ten list for a while now.
