Sencrop, a leading ag-tech player in Europe in precision agriculture thanks to its collaborative agro-weather solutions based on microclimate, today announces an $18 million Series B fundraising led by JVP , as part of the climate and agri-food initiative of the international fund VC.
EIT Food – supported by the European Union; Stellar Impact – operated by Telos Impact; IRD Gestion and the historical shareholders of Sencrop – in particular the Ecotechnologies fund managed on behalf of the State by Bpifrance within the framework of France 2030, Demeter IM and NCI Waterstart – are also participating in the operation.
- Sencrop’s data-driven precision application empowers more than 20,000 farmers with a crop-centric view of weather conditions, disease and pest risks, and irrigation needs.
- Sencrop enables farmers to make better decisions and reduce risks for their crops, with a positive agri-environmental footprint.
- The European leader is present in more than 20 countries and has offices in France (head office), the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Italy. With the new investment, the company will open an office at the “International Foodtech Center” in Galilee, Israel.
- This investment is part of the international cooperation strategy between Israel and France, combining AI, data and climate technology strategies to find new solutions to global climate and agricultural challenges.
This funding round will strengthen Sencrop’s leadership in its main markets, accelerate its international expansion, particularly towards North America, and consolidate its development to become the world leader in AgTech.
Since its creation in 2016, the Sencrop precision farming collaborative solution has helped farmers limit their cropping risks and make better daily decisions for more comfort, better yields and a controlled environmental impact. With a clear mission: to make precision agriculture accessible to everyone. In six years, the ag-tech start-up has become the European leader in solutions connected to plots, for all types of crops.
