Decazeville. Unusual. Made in USA “Wrapped in Love” shawls donated to displaced Ukrainians

A nice surprise was reserved by the CCAS of Decazeville and the Accès Logement association for the Ukrainian displaced persons of Decazeville: “The CCAS was contacted by a descendant of a Decazeville family who had gone to the USA. Mrs. Brigitte Bartolucci saw via the internet that Ukrainian families were welcomed in Decazeville. Mrs. Bartolucci and other people made eleven shawls in Maine”, explains Marie-Hélène Guiance-Murat, president of the CCAS. It was in the premises of Accès Logement and around a snack consisting of Ukrainian cakes, that the “Wrapped in Love” shawls were given to the displaced Ukrainians with the reading of a letter from Brigitte Bartolucci “The origin from Wrapped in Love is an aspiration to send love in a visible and tangible form that you can wrap your shoulders around to warm your heart and know you are loved.Inspiration comes from a tradition in the United States to knit or crochet prayer shawls to bring comfort when suffering is overwhelming There is a direct connection between you and the woman who made this shawl especially for you with much love and much hope for the healing of your heart”.
