AAG automates its spare parts logistics using Skypod technology

Alliance Automotive Group (AAG), a distributor of spare parts for motorized vehicles, has seen an entire cell of its new logistics platform in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry (77) be robotized with Exotec’s Skypod end-to-end system. Dimensioned according to the needs of “FIRST”, the name of this national site, the solution can be adapted according to variations in flow (peaks of activity, launch of new products). This flexibility enables AAG to respond quickly to automotive aftermarket demand. “Exotec technology meets our needs and our ambition to transform our supply chain, to make it more modern, flexible and modular. The operational efficiency and increased capacity to manage our logistics flows offered by this solution played a role in our decision »says Eric Girot, Managing Director France of AAG.

80% less energy

The low energy consumption leaned in favor of the Skypod solution. Exotec explains that its robotic system can consume up to 80% less energy compared to traditional automated solutions, and that its noise pollution is low. “We are happy to participate, through our technology, in the transformation of a key player in the automotive sector. We are proud to support AAG in their ambition to meet their business and operational challenges, while being committed to minimizing their energy footprint.”, says Thomas Genestar, Exotec’s managing director for Western Europe. Skypod technology will be deployed within the platform in the first half of 2023.
