Brest Métropole is recruiting for its Proximity Department on a 6-month fixed-term contract

Main missions) :

  • Support and technical support for local actors in a logic of appropriation of digital technology and its uses: e.g. technical assistance and support for Papis’s and Papifab’s, studies of technical solutions, orders, installation and support for actors within the framework of the call projects (microcomputing, digital manufacturing), technical advice, etc.


IT and digital

Equipment and technical assistance for Public Internet Access Points
  • Integration of new equipment taking into account the existing environment
  • Corrective maintenance on site
  • Technical support for access points
Technical support for the Call for digital projects:
  • Comparative studies of technical solutions and costs
  • Purchase of equipment: order, reception, allocation to structures and support for beneficiaries
  • Equipment fleet management
Support and support for uses:
  • Contribution to the Papifab network and activities as a resource person
  • Technological watch, particularly in terms of digital manufacturing
  • Technical study of materials in a logic of overall consistency
  • Contribution to structuring projects
Equipment loan service to associations:
  • Comparative technical study, purchase and maintenance of loan equipment
  • In connection with the team, manages the loan to associations
Events: technical support for the organization
Administrative and financial dimension
  • Ensures the management and monitoring of public contracts in conjunction with the department manager and the financial manager (writing of technical specifications)
  • Implements activity monitoring and analysis tools: fleet management, inventory of monitoring requests, etc.
  • In connection with the manager, co-development of agreements for the provision of equipment

Required Skills :

General knowledge (knowledge):

  • Microcomputer maintenance (operating systems, free and proprietary office software, peripherals)
  • Culture or interest in digital manufacturing (robotics, arduino, CNC machine)
  • Knowledge of remote maintenance techniques
  • Knowledge of database management preferred

  • Practice of free software and cooperative tools (Spip, wiki, cool list server, php, etc.)
